| We are looking for college students and youth in Beijing, with relative experience or a willingness to help, to act as BUDDIES. You should be physically in Beijing during the time of 2008 Games. |

Be a source of information
A BUDDY will be a primary contact person who provides information and guidance. |
|
|
 |
|
Be a cultural guide
A BUDDY will help introduce the international youth to people and culture. |

Make a genuine commitment
A BUDDY will take his/her role and responsibility seriously. |
|
|
 |
| The specific duties will only be informally defined. Taking into consideration that some international youth traveler may require more guidance than others. How much time is spent and the nature of the activities will be for the most part left up to individual BUDDIES. However, it is expected that the BUDDY will: |

 |
| Contact the international youth prior to his/her arrival in Beijing and arrange to meet up at the airport or soon upon arrival. |
|
|
| Meet with your friend on at least two occasions, within the first few days of arrival. |
|
|
| Give advice on various aspects concerning visiting China, such as getting around, shopping, mobile phone, bank account etc.. |
|
|
| Arrange a local dinner together. |
|
|
| Take your friend to one of your favorite place in Beijing – it can be a famous attraction, a local gallery, night market, your school campus, a theater, bar street etc.. |
